### PineTab2 and PineTab-V
Linux tablet options are very limted, so it's nice to know about all options. The PineTab2 and the PineTab-V Linux tablets have been available for over a year.
They both come in a 4GB/64GB and an 8GB/128GB memory/storage variant.
The PinTab2 runs on an ARM processor, and comes with a silver/gray metal & plastic casing.
The PineTab-V runs on a RISC-V processor, and comes in a black metal & plastic casing.
Since the PineTab2 runs an ARM processor, it comes with software, and thanks to years of Linux development on ARM processors, there should be plenty of software available for it. Some features are still a work in progress, such as the cameras. It could be an inexpensive fun device for those that would like to tinker with a Linux tablet.
The PineTab-V runs a newer RISC-V open-source processor, so it ships without software, and there is very limited software available for it. The PineTab-V is for developers only, and probably will be for years to come.
The hope with the open source RISC-V processor is that in the near future we will have a CPU for Linux that is free from any Big Tech spy-hardware.
You can order them at Pine64.com.
