<li>upgrades every 6months to 2yrs</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><p><strong>Semi-Rolling Distros</strong><br>   (security and 3rd party updates)</p>
<ul>
<li>core distribution files are fixed</li>
<li>3rd party apps are rolling</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><p><strong>Rolling Distros</strong><br>   (security, core, and 3rd party updates)</p>
<ul>
<li>latest app versions</li>
<li>less stable</li>
<li>possibly more security issues due to newer cutting edge code</li>
<li>upgrades a package as soon there's a new release</li>
<li>upgrades constantly</li>
</ul>
